🎨 Bright Beats Global Art Competition – Call for Submissions
This year’s theme, “What Brings You Joy,” invites children and teens (ages 3–17) with disabilities and/or special educational needs to express what brings them joy, connection, and inspiration through art. Our goal is to celebrate each child’s unique perspective and create an inclusive event that encourages creativity and self-expression.

Participation is completely free, and every participant will receive a digital certificate and award badge. Selected artworks will receive additional recognition as Featured Artists.
Bright Beats offers a bi-weekly afterschool music program featuring sing-alongs, rhythm activities, movement, and instrument play at Franklin Sherman ES. In these Enhanced Autism Classrooms, we support children with diverse learning and communication needs while having lots of fun!
We’re excited to be part of the Annual ASNV–POAC Holiday Party, one of the most loved community events of the year! Bright Beat will be hosting an ongoing interactive music session throughout the event - singing, playing instruments, and creating joyful moments for kids and families to connect through music. 🎵✨

Along with music, families can enjoy arts & crafts, Legos, food and snacks, a giveaway table full of toys and books, and a quiet room for anyone who needs a break from the excitement.
Bright Beats returns for a second summer of music filled fun. The children engaged in musical sing and dance activities and more hands-on instrument improvisation, fostering a creative classroom. Compared to 2024, we observed increased responsiveness and engagement among the children.
The first year of our preschool partnership brought hands-on music experiences into Fairfax County Public Schools special education classrooms. The drum, glockenspiel, and piano inspired ways to express emotions in a healthy and fun activity. We reached dozens of families through our music sessions, with some reaching out for more!
Concert at Pimmit Hills Senior Center! A selection of classical, baroque, and pop music was performed during the hour long concert. The seniors and staff enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere and moments of connection through the melodies.
