Meet Our Leaders

Bright Beats is led by passionate youth who use their musical gifts to create inclusive, joyful spaces for children with special needs. Each chapter team brings our mission to life - blending creativity, compassion, and leadership to make music a bridge for connection across communities and cultures.

Global Executive Team

Ryan Qi
Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Ryan is a high school senior and longtime musician who founded Bright Beats after seeing the joy and connection music brought to his younger brother with developmental challenges. As CEO, he leads Bright Beats’ mission and overall direction, working with youth leaders and community partners to grow inclusive music programs and expand the organization’s reach.

Amber Cao
Chief Operating Officer

Amber is a high school senior and percussionist who has been part of Bright Beats’ growth and development. As COO, she works alongside the CEO on organization-wide initiatives, supports the development of new and existing chapters, and helps strengthen coordination across the Bright Beats network.

Zachary Qin
President

Zachary is a high school junior and pianist who has been playing for over ten years. As President, he helps lead Bright Beats’ Virginia programs and works with the leadership team to strengthen volunteer engagement, community outreach, and inclusive music opportunities for children and families.

Hasene DeviNirmalraj
VP - Communications

Hasene is a high school junior with a background in piano, violin, and vocal music and is an active member of her school’s choir. As VP of Communications, she helps share Bright Beats’ mission with the community, promote programs and events, and connect more families and volunteers with opportunities to get involved.

Charlotte Ward
VP - Programs

Charlotte is a high school sophomore with experience in piano, voice, drums, chorus, musical theater, and rock bands. As VP of Programs, she helps plan and strengthen Bright Beats’ inclusive music programs, creating engaging experiences where children can explore music, express themselves, and connect with others.

Niyati Pyda
VP - Volunteers

Niyati is a high school junior who has played piano for seven years and also enjoys Carnatic music. As VP of Volunteers, she helps welcome, engage, and support Bright Beats volunteers, building a strong volunteer community that can share the joy of music with more children and families.

Olivia Chen
VP - Partnership & Impact

Olivia is a high school student who enjoys music, creativity, and connecting with others. As VP of Partnerships & Impact, she helps develop community relationships, identify opportunities for collaboration, and support initiatives that expand Bright Beats’ reach and impact.

Madeleine Tintner
Director - Programs

Maddie is a high school sophomore who has played violin for six years and performs in her school orchestra. As Director of Programs, she supports the planning and delivery of Bright Beats music programs, helping create welcoming and engaging experiences for children throughout the community.

Anna Qi
Director - Partnership & Impact

Anna is a middle school student who loves to sing, dance, and share the joy of music. She co-founded Bright Beats alongside Ryan and supported its early development. As Director of Partnerships & Impact, she helps build community relationships, support partnership outreach, and expand access to inclusive music programs.

Sophia Zhao
President

Sophia is a high school sophomore and musician who plays piano and violin. As Texas Chapter President, she leads local programs and outreach, bringing Bright Beats’ mission to her community and creating inclusive opportunities for children to connect, express themselves, and experience the joy of music.

New York, USA

Angelina Wang
President

Angelina is a college freshman and musician who has played piano and violin for over nine years. She enjoys sharing music with younger children and has seen how it can build confidence and bring joy. As New York Chapter President, she brings together her love of music and service to carry forward Bright Beats’ mission and create inclusive music experiences for children in her community.

California, USA

Ethan Zhang
President

Ethan is a high school junior from Aliso Viejo, California, who plays violin, piano, and percussion. He has volunteered through his church and the DoReMi Project, providing free piano and violin lessons to younger students. As California Chapter President, Ethan leads local programs and outreach, using music to create joyful and inclusive experiences for children of all abilities.

Albert Prince
President

Albert is a high school sophomore and music scholarship recipient who has played piano and violin for over ten years and sings in choir. His experience teaching piano and violin to younger students has shown him how music can build confidence, connection, and joy. As UK Chapter President, he leads local programs and outreach, helping create inclusive music experiences for children of all abilities.

Uganda

Mbalule Julian
President

Mr. Julian is the Founder of The African Child in Uganda. Coming from a humble background, he was inspired to dedicate his life to supporting children with disabilities after meeting a young boy with cerebral palsy. Mr. Julian now leads community programs and therapy sessions in Jinja, partnering with Bright Beats to bring inclusive music to children with special needs.

Han Wang
President

Han is a high school junior from China who has played drum set for over ten years and performs with his school band. Through years of performance experience, he has seen how music can bring people together and help everyone feel seen and heard. As Beijing Chapter President, he hopes to create that same sense of connection and joy for children through inclusive music experiences.

Shenzhen, China

Bob Xie
President

Bob is a high school sophomore in Shenzhen, China, who has played harp for fice years and also enjoys singing and piano accompaniment. He leads a band and several student clubs at school, combining his interests in music and leadership. As Shenzhen Chapter President, he hopes to bring people together through music and create joyful, inclusive experiences for children in his community.

Vietnam

Harry Zhang
President

Harry is a high school senior from Ho Chi Minh City who plays piano, clarinet, and bass clarinet and also sings. He has performed in school and community settings and taught English to children at local schools. As Vietnam Chapter President, he brings together his interests in music and service to create fun, inclusive music experiences for children of all abilities.
